Provides everything needed to restore a worn keypad to like-new condition.
This post describes how the replacement process works.
Contents of the kit:
Coated replacement brushed steel keypad plate that looks very close to the original pads.
Replacement plastic back pieces.
Keypad alignment pieces.
Pre-cut 300LSE adhesive film for gluing the new keypad and plastic back. pieces in place.
Alcohol and adhesion promoter Wipes.
Black paint pen for touching up the 'black space' between key plate and body of the keypad assembly.
Chisel blade and holder for removal of the original keypad plate and glue remnants.
Manual with detailed instructions.
Additional items needed for tackling keypads of the later DC platter motor Beogram 4002 and 4004 models (their keypads are attached using a more resilient glue):
Aluminum container for safely baking the keypad (get it at amazon).
Metal spatula for removal of the keypad plate.
Heat resistant gloves/oven mitts for handling the hot keypad assembly.
This kit does not restore damaged keypad lettering.
